Hi - I came here from Ravelry. Thanks for adding me to your friends. The socks are lovely. I've got the book and constantly admire everything in it, but for some reason just can't get motivated. I do love me picot hems!

I must try a garter stitch heel sometime.

Sometimes I think I just need a week off knitting, a way of stopping any of the bleughs.

Great socks!!

As for the sweater and fit ... have you tried a top down sweater? Patterns from KNitting Pure and Simple are great. You can try them on as you go along, make them longer or shorter, add shaping or anything else for that matter. Plus, since they are done from the top down there is no seaming to do other than weave in the ends once they are done.

Pretty much all of my sweaters are done this way these days.

Glad to read that Jimmy has a sock twin! He's also smiling each time he's looking at his feet.
But I suppose you don't love chewing on them like he does ^^
The garter stitch heel looks great! I'll keep that in mind for my next pair ^^

Found your Banff pic!!! Looks great! It seems like a 'favorite' sweater to wear all the time. Now I'm on a Tahki hunt.

The socks are great! The patterning is really nice and you matched them perfectly.
I vote for the sampler shawl next! Only because it's on my list too. I am waiting to find the perfect yarn but I think it should be done in a neutral solid as the photo you posted. Do you know who did that one and what yarn?
I saw in your sidebar that you knit Banff. Do you have a finished photo? I have wanted to knit that as well but haven't found the yarn. I'll keep lookng for a bargain like you found! It must be a tweed!
