What a lovely little essay on the joys of fiber patience, Donna. It's just the inspiration I need to not give up on my spinning which still leaves so much to be desired. Also, it's fabulous to see the finished socks and remember I was there for your AaHaa moment in Slow Train on KIP2010!

I started spinning 1 year and a half ago-at the age of 48. It was the HARDEST thing to learn I can remember. But I stuck to it and now feel pretty confident, and competent, when I sit at my wheel.
Never too old to learn! (Though I do think it gets a little harder to learn as you get older - but no reason not to do it!)

Hi Donna. So you have gone over to the dark side...for awhile I thought for sure spinning would suck me right in, but I have resisted. Your skein is certainly lovely-looking; you can be rightously proud of yourself. And great socks too. As always, good to see a post from you.
